Alright, I’ve finally finished the third sexy apron for Ms. Chelsea. The red is a lovely, very soft and slightly sheer red cotton and the print is from a vintage mumu. It’s got a really nice silky sheen and the colors are just fantastic!

This morning while listening to Henry Mancini and up to my unders in sewing, I decided to make a snack. Yes, Audrey, I decided to make flan because flan can be a snack if you are me, Heidi Lee Messer, who eats flan for a snack.

But short attention span Heidi just can’t do only one thing at a time. Dishes? Sure. Coffee? Absolutely. Oops, after waiting forever for the flan to boil, it boiled. Over. While I wasn’t watching. Cut to, “What’s that delicious smell? Oh, it’s flan burning all over the top of my stove. Damn.”

Good thing there are kitties who will help you clean up a flantastrophy.

Today was my volunteer time at Stumptown Comics 2008. So fun, so many greatly talented artists around. I got to chat with a couple of people whose comics I really admire, including Julia Wertz who draws “Fart Party”. This is probably my favorite Fart Party comic, “Bitch Cookies.”

You see folks, what we have here is an apron for a 3 year old girl who is named Stella. It is made of embroidered vintage towelling and contemporary tattoo and day of the dead fabrics.

I looked into my 3 year old heart to see what it desires most, and this was there among the swingsets and monkey bars.

Yes, I am aware of how incredibly awesome this garter belt is. It is totally reversible, one side is the badass tattoo flash print fabric, the other side is a supersweet day of the dead sugar skull fabric.

It laces up the back, and is quite possibly the coolest thing I’ve ever made. Maybe. My memory is only slightly untrustworthy on these things. Anyway, I love it. My plan is to make many more and make sure the world is a sexier place while I’m in it.

Gorgeous full halter apron. Ties behind the neck with extra long ties to accomodate multiple sizes. This apron has a wide wrap skirt that measures 39″ around.

This will give excellent coverage in the front and back, and the gathered halter top is very sexy.

Where did this bizarre compulsion to share every detail come from? One day I’m normal, sort of, and the next I want to share everything. New ideas, thoughts, concepts, wardrobe choices (seriously?), lolcats, everything.

I guess it happened for the world sometime around the invention of the internet, but for me, well I guess I’m a late bloomer. I should probably spare some of the world and just buy a notepad, you know, the anablog. That is so much less appealing to me though.

I lie, I know at exactly what point I decided that I wanted to start sharing the information, but how do I determine what is necessary and what is simply annoying? That’s the best part, I’ve got the will to start but not the will to ask when to stop. Nice. Well, luckily for me, no one reads this, so it’ll be up to me to determine and in the end I can only hope to make the right choice.
